In a recent survey of brides married in 2002 conducted by WEVA international:
* Revealed that brides in the planning process of the wedding do not immediately realize the impact of a professionally-produced video. Before the wedding, while brides are making plans, over half (54%) rank video as one of the Top 10 most important bridal services. This number increases to 79% AFTER the wedding. Before the wedding, 23% of brides view video as a Top 5 service. After the wedding, that number climbs to 42%. The value of video becomes greater after the wedding. And, after the wedding, 94% of these brides say they consider professional videography at least a Top 10 service.
As brides look back at their wedding, 95% of brides who utilized a professional videographer feel future brides should consider using a professional videographer.
* The survey results reveal professional videography has become very important to today's brides. Its value is comparable to wedding photography, and even more valuable in some respects, according to brides surveyed. Most importantly, the survey showed that brides feel more emphasis needs to be placed on videography in the wedding planning process.

Can't my family member create a good video of my wedding? |
| |
| |
Often times when family members video tape your wedding they will get caught up in the joy of the day and something important could get missed.
Does the person making your video have enough battery to get through the ceremony and reception. Lee Video Productions uses multiple long life batteries assuring we don't run out at a critical time.
When a family member tapes your wedding they are probably using a consumer level camera with a single chip imaging sensor. Lee Video Productions uses professional cameras with 3 chip imaging sensors assuring much better picture quality.
How is the sound from a consumer camera microphone. Generally not very good unless you are close. Lee Video Productions uses pro level wireless microphones to assure great sound. Also your sound is recorded to DVD in true Dolby Digital format assuring you enhanced enjoyment and sound clarity during viewing.

I have seen demos where the sound was bad. How do you assure good sound quality on my video? |
| |
| |
We have professional UHF wireless microphones to be worn by either the groom or officiant. This allows us to get good sound even for outdoor weddings. This assures your vows will be heard on your video. We also mic the readers stand to clearly pick up the audio from that and use in your video. Our editing process converts your audio to Dolby Digital sound which gives you the best possible sound for you to enjoy over and over. This is what seperates us from other "videographers & family" as a true professional. Our perfectionist style will be able to deliver with 100% perfect clarity using proper techniques which is always our goal...to remain hidden and unobtrusive.

| |
Lee Video Productions has been creating wedding videos professionally since 1986. The reaction I get when couples watch their video for the first time is the most satisfying feeling as tears stream realizing just how special that day was and how it can now be re-lived over and over in the comfort of their home. What is a DVD? |
| |
| |
It is the latest in digital video technology that will preserve your memories in pristine quality. VHS tape will deteriorate in about 10 years. DVD will last for over 100 years. Because we believe DVD is most desirable we are now offering your choice of DVD or VHS. DVD is no longer an additional charge. We are very proud of the work we do for you and want the same quality to be seen 100 years from now and this is why we are not adding additional cost where others always do for a DVD of the Wedding. We want you to be able to re-live your Wedding day with the same clarity as the day it was captured.

A post from a August 27th, 2005 Bride on theknot.com reviewing our services
Videographer: Lee Video Productions – Rod Gajeske – A+++++++++++++++++++++
Oh my goodness. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this man. I initially found him because he was one of the few people to do a Same Day Edit (SDE), which is where he films the ceremony and the moments before it and then edits it before the reception and plays it at after the slideshow at dinner. It is something that I knew would amaze people since most have never seen it done before, but I never knew how much it would actually affect people. He lives in Polo, IL – which is out past Rockford. From the moment I called him and booked him I felt at ease. I knew he was such a great guy, we even kept in contact though email for fun every now and then. He would update me on things he’s doing with his software and asking me how I’m doing or if I need anything. I never met him until the day before the wedding and when I did I gave him big hug. He was so friendly, I felt like he was part of the family. He even brought his assistant to film us while he was back at the hotel editing. He came to our rehearsal to get some shots of the church before. For what we paid, we got a lot and then a whole bunch more. He was there all day when I was getting ready and stayed all night, he was so unobtrusive we never noticed he was there (except when I gave him another hug after the SDE was over). I was looking forward to seeing the SDE, but I can’t even begin to describe how I felt when I saw it. First of all, he did our slideshow and that even brought out so many tears and laughs from everyone. Then, it faded to black and the SDE came on. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Even Z’s guy friends came up to us all night long to tell us they cried during it. It was such a special thing to see right after it happened considering we didn’t remember much of the moment (I especially loved that he got us saying our vows edited over the music). The music, the scenes and moments he captured, everything, it is all just so priceless. Simply put, he made my day so much more memorable. He just posted the SDE on his website, http://www.leevideoproductions.com/gallery.php (scroll down to the same day edit and pick your viewing option) simply amazing and breathtaking. It’s hard to believe that he could do all of that in just a few hours. We can’t wait for the final DVD. I can’t recommend Rod enough, he is simply such a wonderful person who does unbelievable work.

A email from a Bride who received her videos for Valentines Day 2005
We've watched all of disk 1 and have started on disk 2 (what a wonderful
amount of footage you got!!). You really did a great job. I am so pleased
about not only the footage of our wedding day, but all of the great video we
now have of our family and friends. And the vows made me start crying all
over again (as the "Luckiest" highlights part did, and the photo montage
nearly did), and even Zack had to wipe his eyes.
Thank you so much. I can't express how pleased I am. I kept telling Zack,
"I picked the right videographer, didn't I??" And, in watching all of the
moments you caught, he said, "Wow, I just never really noticed Rod hanging
around shooting all of this." You were silent and shadowy, like a ninja!
LOL
I will be delighted to write recommendations for you. I'll try to do that
soon -- but I want to make sure I let myself put enough thought into it, as
I don't want to leave out any of the good, gushy details.
Thank you again from the bottom of this bride's heart. :)
Stephanie
Stephanie's official Thank You letter to me
Dear Rod,
I just wanted to let you know that, of all the choices I had to make in the
process of arranging our wedding (and, as other brides know, there are a lot
of choices to make!), one of the very best decisions I made was using you to
capture our big day on film.
I simply couldn’t have asked for someone to provide friendlier, more
professional service. Your communication was excellent – from the early
phone calls to the many prompt e-mails both before and after our wedding, I
always knew you were accessible and ready to answer any questions I had.
On our wedding day, the fact that you were there from early afternoon to
late in the evening was quite impressive. Many vendors (piano players,
photographers, etc.) tend to be stingy in how many hours they provide and
any time above that is an extra charge – but I knew you were there for the
long haul. From filming my hair getting styled to capturing our last dance,
you truly caught the whole experience of the day.
Upon getting my DVDs (which were beautiful packaged and presented) I was
really amazed at the kinds of shots you had gotten on our wedding day. A
number of times while watching the videos, my husband or I would turn to the
other and say, “I didn’t even notice Rod was there while such-and-such was
happening” – but you were! I don’t know how you managed to catch so many
great moments while always being subtle and completely out of the way and
inobstrusive, but you absolutely did!
In addition, my husband and I certainly aren’t the only ones who have gotten
tremendous enjoyment out of the DVDs. My mom has watched them thoroughly,
my grandparents have enjoyed repeated viewings, and my mother-in-law was
quite impressed. Even my brother-in-law, who typically could care less
about such things, sat down for well over an hour to watch the footage. The
most impressive “convert,” though, was my father. He initially pooh-poohed
my wanting a videographer at all (“Photographs do the job,” he said), but
after interacting with you the day of the wedding and then seeing the
finished product, he actually came up to me and said, “I’ll admit it: I was
wrong. This guy did a great job. You absolutely did the right thing in
hiring him.” And trust me – my dad, although awesome, is the type of person
who never admits to being wrong. So that was huge!
I can’t begin to describe what a beautiful creation our DVDs were. Between
the camera work and the editing (which, as I have a small amount of
experience in, I know is a very time-consuming process), you created a
one-of-a-kind memory that I know my family members and I will enjoy for
years. It’s made me laugh, it’s made me cry and it’s made me snuggle up to
my husband and tell him I’d marry him all over again.
From the bottom of my heart, Rod, I send you my thanks for saving our big
day for tomorrow.
With much appreciation and affection,
Stephanie Alexander
A letter from a Bride & Groom who received their video just before Christmas, 2004:
Good evening Rod. Now that the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season is over as well as the New Year celebrations, I would like to take a couple of minutes to let you know how much I appreciated all of your efforts.
As you have been told, in the early stages of planning our wedding, I was completely against a videographer. "Why would you need to spend extra money on video when you have a photographer?" We were on a budget, I did not see video included in that budget. As DeAnna and I were nearing our wedding plans I finally gave into the idea of at least taking the trip out to see just what a videographer is really all about.
When we arrived my initial idea of meeting a one dimensional guy that spends his spare time behind a lenses because he for what ever reason enjoys it disappeared. Your colorful personality instantly won me over, giving a shot to the idea of a videographer. Still, the reality was I just did not see a way that DeAnna and I could afford your service.
You invited us in so that we could view some of your past work. We were very comfortable in your home. You started a video and DeAnna and I instantly became overwhelmed with the emotion that was captured. It was hard to keep from getting choked up. And the video was of people we had never met!! Your work was simply beautiful. I have never seen a highlights video of a wedding that when watched, made me feel as if I was actually there.
We were sold. My next plan was to figure out how to get rid of the photographer, hire you and save a ton on the budget. DeAnna would never have that, so we some how saved some extra money and made it work. What was weird was that I found myself rooting for the videographer that I did not want in the first place. If that does not say anything about your work I do not know what does.
When we received our highlights video DeAnna and I were so anxious to watch it. We knew right away by the amount of effort that was put into the artwork of our CD case that we were in for a great show. The DVD played, DeAnna and I teared-up, laughed, hugged and smiled remembering our day. The music that you chose was unbelievable. We could not wait to watch it a second time. There are so many effects that occur that you can not really appreciate all of them until you have had the chance to watch the video ten times or more.
Rod, DeAnna and I would really like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the effort that you put into capturing every single detail, plus many more that we were not able to see due to the busy day. Every time DeAnna and I show off our video with guests or simply watch it alone, we feel as if we are reliving our day all over again. You are always the first on our list of recommendations, and yes, I even recommend you to couples before I even mention a photographer.
Thank you,
With Love ,
Andy and DeAnna
A recently received letter from a recent Bride and Groom in it's entirety:
Dear Rod,
I am writing on behalf of not only Paul and I, but our families too. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for capturing our wedding day in such a unique and special way. From our first phone call to you, through us viewing and loving the final product; you went above and beyond, continuously demonstrating world class service and style! The individual attention that you gave meant so much. It is obvious you love your work and it shows through every minute of footage in our DVD's!
The minute we hear that anyone is getting married you are the first person we recommend. We think the world of you and can't say enough about your high level of professionalism and customer service. A recent phone call from a Bride and Groom who had a Same Day Edit highlight video play at their reception that night:

A Comment from a Mother of Bride to me at a recent Bridal show
My neighbor called and said her house was on fire and to grab some stuff just in case the fire spread to my house. Do you know what I grabbed? Her bridal dress and your DVD's! If that does not say what it is worth nothing does. This is why we booked you first for our other daughters wedding first and foremost.
Mary, brides mom
